Cake: Showroom of Compassion
Sacramento indie pop quintet, Cake finally returns with their first album of new material since 2004's Pressure Chief; the longest stretch between albums in their career. Jon McCrea and crew play around with their genre bending sound a bit, but retain enough of their signature droll vocal delivery and bellowing horns to make fans feel right at home.
